- Common camera Angles: Some common camera angles I noticed were low angles and high angles. High angles were a little more prevalent however. These angles were good at conveying fear and well the thrill needed in this genre. Dutch angles gave a feeling of something ominous. Finally Eye-level angles were used to show emotion in someone's eyes which was typically fear.
- Camera Movements: Tracking was very common and it was used to follow a certain character. Pans and tilts were used to things like characters and scenes. However Tracking and even zooms were more common throughout.
- Camera Shots: There are a many number of shots I noticed during my research. They include establishing shots, wide shots, medium close-ups, long shots, medium shots, close-ups, extreme close ups, over the shoulder shots, arial shots, and finally two-shots. These shots combined with slow pace helped to build the suspense.
- Common Costumes: Most costumes would be typical outfits based on the environment. For example, if the main character was an adult working a office 9-5 job they'd be in typical office clothes.

- Common Editing techniques within this genre were things like cross-cutting, flashbacks, flash-forwards, jump cuts, montages, shot-reverse shots, and cutaways. These are mostly dramatic edits which fit right in with this dramatic genre.
- Props are very important to thrillers, they can be the key to sell the realism of a scene. Objects like weapons, personal items, and objects with a lot of symbolism to a character are used to help get a message across without words even being needed in that scene.
- Thrillers are known for dramatization in almost every way especially acting. Actors will use a wide range of emotions most of them being fear. The success of the film or scene is very reliant on this as it is one of the most important factors in the genre.
- Makeup is very important in thrillers because not only does it represent the physical state of characters but also can be used to make whole characters. Sometimes makeup is used instead of CGI to make fictional characters look more real. - Sets: These are the main foundations of any given scene in every thriller. Making them one of the most important parts of a thriller. They are the first thing to set the tone in a thriller. They have to be able to perfectly help capture that fear and uncertainty with the characters in the scene. Usually sets are dark and gloomy with confined and isolated spaces. Sets also work with lighting a lot making both extremely important to portray the proper emotions in a scene.
