CCR blog part 1 (podcast)

Hello everyone. Welcome back to the podcast.
Today we're going to answer some questions that you all sent me. So the first question today will be about conventions learned in our project. Within our video filming process we learned a lot about different conventions such as high angles, tracking shots, and a variety of other shots like being shot, middle shot, MCU shot, medium long shot and close up shot. Bring our filming process you also learned about the importance of lighting and sound within our genre of thrillers and a lot of thrillers that we in my group watched, we notice how lighting and sound really played a role in building up suspense and drama and even fear in some cases. So we were able to, we made sure to utilize that in our video.
More specifically, we used tracking shots, high angles, medium shots, meaning close ups and medium long shots, most commonly in our video that I think would really help drive home and let you know viewers understand what the image going for and help them stay focused on it's our type of film we recorded which is a thriller, Thriller Murder Mystery. I'd say our film represents our social group well, because it shows a murder mystery in a more modern light with a more modern twist.
I would say the fact that it takes place in an apartment slash Airbnb, with, you know, teenagers, or people who look younger, it can almost seem more relatable, and in that case, even more scary and more realistic when watching the film. I feel like this will really help you know make the film more exciting to watch you know, more immersive and that's where we want to end the day for the viewer to enjoy but also, you know, have fear because he wants you to murder mystery or thriller. Now we're getting into our next most popular question asked for today. Basically the relatability Oh, sorry. How would this film relate to our audience? How can the audience you know, engage, be engaged with our product? Going back to what I said before an earlier I would say really relatability is going to be our number one factor in engaging audiences with our film. The setting where it took place, the props and costumes we used in the film really relate to our generation or the younger generation which I think would help us really drive home a specific target audience, which is then how our film comes to successful. I want to say the film was easily digestible, you know, it wasn't too crazy.
You had to read between the lines or pause and rewind to go back and see what you missed. It was really straightforward and I think that will also help you know drive home and make the film more thrilling to watch overall. easily digestible content in film is very common these days. And it's also popular so obviously in our film will make our film very accessible and easily digestible, letting audience easily engage with it, let’s get into distribution, the second part of this question, so how we how we would distribute this film, you know, that came up a lot while filming. I wanted to get into it civically.
Today, and I think I would go with first promoting this on social media, where our target audience would be Anyways, on Power Apps like tick tock Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, all those apps that are powerful within our age group or HQ that we want to target will be our first choice. And then from there, we think who haven't, you know, a good grasp on who will watch the film and at our marketing from there, but after that, I would say we would first release a movie in tears but then soon after release on shooting services.
As I agree that movies nowadays our films in general, release a streaming services earlier, and that's more effective within our age group, our target audience, and I feel like that'd be smarter to help our film become easily digestible overall, and make them relatable overall as well. I think together those things go hand in hand, once you make our marketing and our movie overall, just I feel like it'd be smarter and simpler sense because making your movie you don't want to do too much or overdo it in a certain a certain sense. And I think by marketing it or promoting it, distributing it on social media apps within our you know, our age group to search in a certain extent that will also help once again, make it more relatable within our target audience. For example, we wouldn't promote this on Facebook per se, because that isn't necessarily within our target audience. I would say we target more apps that have more of our generation on it. Who would we want to the people we want to watch the film. For example, like tick tock, very popular within our target audience and promoting it on that app would be most effective as compared to an app like I said previously, Facebook. Um, all in all, yeah, these are some questions I wanted to get off today. Thank you for listening in. Until next time, thank you
