Reflecting on my commercial

Image
Hey fellow bloggers I am back after a short blog hiatus. In that time I was able to publish my commercial and now I'll be reflecting on it and sharing it with you guys. During this whole ordeal I mastered a skill that I thought was impossible for me, editing. Using CapCut I was able to effortlessly edit my commercial to my liking. If your a loyal blog reader you may remember me talking about how worried I was about this. I also learned how to embed videos a skill I can use forever now. I also learned the process it takes to publish YouTube videos. I was always curious about the process YouTubers took to publish videos and now I have a small taste of it. I learned that planning goes a long way in making publishing your commercial effective. When I had my plan set up the entire process became easier. Something I can do to make this project better is use whatever resources I have available to me. In this case the rubric and my teacher. I also think I could use less procrastination. Al

Good Evening Bloggers! I'm coming at you with a later than usual post today. Nonetheless I am back and ready to update you all with my progress on my commercial. So overall I had completed my video but per usual there were some complications. First the app was draining my battery like crazy. I would 80% when I start editing and end up on 60% in seemingly 20 mins. It was very infuriating but it had a simple solution of just keep my phone on the charger when editing on low battery. Another small problem I ran into was WIFI and glitch problems. My Wi-Fi is usually pretty good but there are days when it can be very in and out. The day I was editing the most happened to be that day making this process all the more unnecessarily difficult. The Wi-Fi made uploading and splicing videos especially difficult because the quality wasn't as smooth. However I knew once the WiFi was back working properly none of this would really matter. So with that I kept working hard and making sure I did

Good evening bloggers! Today I'm coming with a later entry but an entry nonetheless. So with this entry I'll be talking more about actually learning to use the Capcut app itself. Capcut is supposedly the easiest way edit especially on you phone. Thousands of people my age use it daily so it had to be simple right? Wrong a little tip about me I am not the most technologically sound person. Which is interesting in such a technology based society we're in right now. Of course I know the basics of the stuff like how to Microsoft 360 and how to post videos and stuff but editing has always been challenge for me. With this all being said I may be exaggerating as Capcut tried to make it as easy as possible to use their app. The app itself has built in tutorials to make using their app easier. The tutorials helped for sure, they also let me know just how easy it was to use the app. I made sure to follow the basic instructions from the videos and not go to off the rails at first. I

G ood morning bloggers! Eventually I will get a name for you guys . However today we get into the music I want to use for my video. I have been talking about it for some time and have lightly alluded to the problem that it can become. But today is when I'm going to dive deeper. Dive deeper into the problems that are coming up with choosing the perfect song for my video/commercial. My first and most obvious problem was the genre of the song I would be choosing. With my 3 main genres already chosen and then taken down to two one would think this would be easy. However, it wasn't , not even close. Like I was talking about my last blog entry I was aware of many sub genres within my 2 main ones. Especially within rap, so with all the new options it presented an unexpected challenge. However, like always I had a plan to help lessen the options. One of them being choosing the most school appropriate songs I could. This also meant using clean versions of the songs I was consid

So today is when I am going to start putting my video together. I am starting to organize all my pictures and videos into a photo album on my phone. This is what I use all the time to sort through all my photos and find which of them is post worthy. I usually get around 7-10 photos but for a commercial about me I knew I would need more content. So I was less strict on myself on what I should add to my commercial video. So First I gathered inventory on photos and short videos I would want in a commercial. Something I had to keep reminding myself is that this commercial was about me. So I should be sure to express myself well in my commercial. A small problem that I wanted to make sure didn't phase me was music. I wanted a song that I could use with multiple different looks and pictures. So a not too crazy hype song or too loud rock or alternative song. Luckily for me in rap and R&B there are many different diverse sub genres that I was very familiar with. They would help me find

The process I took to pick out my pictures and videos was definitely an interesting one. It was a little tedious to find videos and pictures that were long enough and detailed enough for my commercial. As well as find a song for my commercial that would fit the pictures and videos I had. My biggest problem wasn't having too much media it was however not having enough. I have many pictures however not all of them are of me. Even the ones of me were all similar so I didn't want to many replicas for my commercial. I also wanted a certain vibe to it so the song had to match with the media I chose. My goal was to represent myself and do it well in a school appropriate way. What this project did do was help me utilize a lot of the nature pictures I had been taking over the summer. I had recently become overly obsessed with the sunset and the sunrise. So much so that I have an entire album dedicated to it. I feel like pictures and videos like that will showcase my personality better t
